Look for the line ‘Qual. 9661’ with ‘Hollow Point’ and ‘Mustad-Round Hooks’ beneath it. The wording ‘With kink on shank’ matches the S-shaped kink in each hook’s shank. P

The label reads ‘Ex. long shank 2 ex. fine wire’ and ‘With kink on shank’. It gives no length or wire diameter, and no calibrated measurement of the hooks is recorded. P

Each hook on the card has one S-shaped kink in the shank. The kink shifts the wire sideways in the plane of the hook and returns it to the original line, roughly halfway along the shank by eye. PE

The label also reads ‘Forged’ and ‘Hollow Point’. The photographs show a fine, straight-edged point; whether its inner face is concave cannot be seen. Wire cross-section is not visible in side views. P

Six hooks in the left row, all present, tied to the card with thread. Shanks look straight apart from the kink. Faint surface scuffs show on some hooks, and the eye ends look dark and rough. P
