Hook Reference – Garren Wood

Focused on vintage hooks, unique hooks, and older hooks. Initially the reference was going to focus on fly tying hooks, but there are a lot of interesting hooks out there, so started to include hooks I though were interesting. Then there were ideas about potential reworking some of the hooks to use for more classic and artistic salmon fly tying – and that opened the door to a lot of hooks that normally would never be used for fly tying – like worm hooks. Some work hooks have slices in the shank, but if they are going to be re-worked it is pretty easy to remove slices and work it into a beautiful hook.
