Identification rests on the box. The front panel carries a key drawing between the words Key and Brand, with Qual. 1575, Superior and Mustad-Limerick Hooks in the right-hand text block P. The shank has no markings P.

A continuous row of eight-petal flower-like ornaments with a centre dot borders the text frame P. The size numeral 1 is larger than the type around it and sits apart from No. at lower left P. The company line reads O. MUSTAD & SØN with a slashed O P.
