Mustad 92209 — Vintage box label and packaging — Size 10 — Oslo-Norway Key Brand designation
IMG-1Mustad 92209 Vintage Box Label Size 10 Box label photographed turned a quarter turn. The label folds around the box corner, so the right ends of several lines are hidden.

How to identify it

The number appears as ‘Qual. 92209’, under the maker and address lines and above the red ‘Mustad-Viking’ line.

The printed label shows no hook size. On the photographed box a violet-ink ’10’ sits beside the printed ‘No.’, so the size comes from that mark and not from print.

The label wraps around a box corner, which hides the ends of five lines in the photographs. The printed ‘100’ above ‘No.’ is not confirmed as a count.

The point is long and tapering, and its tip curves toward the shank. The label prints both ‘Hollow Point’ and ‘Point bent inwards’. No dished face is visible. P

The label also prints ‘Reversed’. A reversed point is offset to the right, viewed from the eye looking down the shank V. The flat side views do not show the offset.

Recorded caliper values for the size 10 hook are 12.7 mm total length P and 3.8 mm gap width P.

Most text is gold-bronze ink of uneven density; the Mustad-Viking line is crimson.
Printed marks
Violet-ink '10' beside the printed 'No.', recorded as a stamp.
